Anas Hasan is a Design Director in Rua Almadinah Holding Company with Over 24 years’ of experience in Design and Development gained through working and leading different types of high-end projects and developments in Saudi Arabia and Middle East. Anas has B.Sc. in Architecture and MBA from the university of Manchester.

 

For 6 years, Anas was leading the design and development department in Knowledge Economic city which is mixed use development, where he participated in develop and deliver major successful projects including Malls, Hotels, residential compounds, office building….etc.)

 

Currently, Anas is leading the design of one of the biggest Hospitality projects in the world, targeting to deliver 5000 Keys Hospitality project by 2026 which is part of overall project vision of Rua Almadinah development to deliver 48,000 keys by 2030.

ARJAN PIT

Arjan received his Master of Science in Architecture from the TU Delft in 2006 and joined UNStudio in 2020, bringing with him extensive international experience in complex master planning and architectural projects in Europe, China and the Middle East.

 

He has a broad interest and understanding of cultural diversity proving to be a valuable asset in UNStudio’s global presence and reach. Arjan has led multiple high profile projects ranging from masterplanning and urban strategies to architecture projects including public buildings, industrial complexes and mixed-use high rise through all stages of design and construction. He is specialized in design strategy with a track record in optimization of complex master planning and architectural projects.

 

Currently Arjan leads the practice of UNStudio Middle East, dedicated as the local liaison for developments in the Middle East. With his allround experience Arjan is able to oversee and advise stakeholders on all key levels of developments.

Mohammed Adib

Partner and Chief Design Officer

Mohammed Adib is a graduate of the AA School of Architecture and a postgraduate in interior architecture from Barcelona. Mohammed Adib has worked in the UK, Spain, Jordan, North Africa, and Asia over the last 30 years, and for the past 17 years has been based between Barcelona and the Middle East.


During his studies, Iraqi-born Mohammed collaborated with many offices in the UK and Europe. After university he embarked on a “Grand Tour” working for 18 months in architectural offices across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In 1993, Mohammed established Intercon in London as a niche design company specialising in large-scale commercial interior design. Under his design and management
guidance, Intercon has completed over 180 projects in 15 countries and has gradually expanded its services to include architecture, product design, signage and wayfinding.


In 2017 Mohammed, joined Dewan Architects + Engineers as partner and Chief Design officer. His main responsibilities are the protection and development of the design language as well as establishing new markets. He has directed projects in the Middle East, S E Asia, Europe and Africa.

Henrique Dias

Henrique Dias is the Regional Hospitality Design Director of DLR’s Group in the Middle East. He has over 19 years of experience with leading award-winning projects in the region and globally. In his role, Dias rethinks and translates conceptual ideas into stimulating, thought-provoking architectural realities and thrives on finding new solutions to design problems. He is working across the firm to ensure DLR’s designs and innovations keep on pushing through their boundaries and limits. He is a respected thought leader in the industry ensuring the best experience with clients and his team.

 

Dias has recently led high-profile projects such as the Jubail Island Development in Abu Dhabi and the Madinah Gate Double Tree Hotel in KSA, which have further cemented his reputation as a distinguished professional in the design industry, making him the award-winning architect of the year.

Manuel D. Schneider

Director of Investment Management
Boutique Group

Manuel D. Schneider is the Director of Investment Management for PIF’s – Boutique Group, the entity tasked with the commercialization of the royal and cultural palaces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Manuel has over 15 years’ experience in operations, asset management and investment strategy, business development, as well as financial underwriting across the hospitality, tourism and real estate sectors.

Prior to joining PIF, Manuel was based in Doha with Katara Hospitality, the State of Qatar’s hotel investment arm. In his function as Director – Asset Management & Investments, he oversaw all aspects of the firm’s Middle Eastern, African and Asian hotel portfolio with a market capitalization of approximately USD 7 billion.

Previously, he has gained additional experience with international consultancies EY and JLL, as well as other international asset management and hospitality operations firms in the US and Europe.

 

Qualifications


Manuel recently graduated with an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, specializing in International Finance Strategy.

He also earned a master level qualification in Hospitality Real Estate and Investments at Cornell University’s – Baker Program in Real Estate in New York, USA.


Manuel holds a BSc (hons) in International Hospitality Management from the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, UAE and École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland.

Arthur Adeya is an Architect by profession with over a decade’s experience in Architecture and over 6 years’ experience in Master Planning and Landscape Architecture.

Prior to joining Athena Properties Limited as a Director for design and planning, Arthur was a Principal Partner at Lexicon + ion In charge of Master Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design working with external teams to ensure projects.
He previously worked in the USA with The HOK Planning Group in Washington DC and EDSA Inc. The HOK Planning Group in Washington DC and EDSA The HOK Planning Group in Wash

Stephan Vanden Auweele is the CEO of United Hospitality Management (UHM) with offices in Dubai and Lisbon. United Hospitality Management is a hotel operating company managing a selection of luxury and upscale hotels across Europe and the Middle East. 

 

The company´s portfolio covers leading industry brands like the Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Hyatt, Movenpick, Vignette Collection, and Yotel as well as an affiliation with Fairmont. UHM’s expertise lies in mixed-use resorts and city properties. 

 

Prior to his role at UHM, Stephan was the Chief Hospitality Group Officer with Asset World Corporation in Asia, a leading and innovative real estate development company and a member of the prominent TCC group with a diverse portfolio of award-winning hotels and retail and commercial properties all Asia. 

 

Stephan’s illustrious career spans Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, including a tenure as the head of Marriott International (Starwood) in Dubai & Northern Emirates. He also chaired the Belgian Business Council in the UAE. With over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Stephan has successfully managed portfolios, orchestrated hotel openings, spearheaded repositioning efforts, and executed brand launches.

Duncan Kidd

Duncan is a highly experienced Design Lead with over 35 years of industry expertise, including 15 continuous years in the GCC region. Currently, he is leading the design efforts for the prestigious Diriyah Square development in Riyadh, KSA, as part of JLL’s team. Duncan has a proven track record of delivering iconic projects in the region, such as the Thematic Districts and Plaza Pavilions for Dubai Expo 2020.

 

With a strong background in consultancy and construction, Duncan provides invaluable high-level design input throughout the project lifecycle and maintains design integrity by fostering strong relationships with client teams. He began his career in the UK before relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2008 to work with Aldar Properties on the design and construction of the five-star W Hotel on Yas Island. Duncan’s impressive portfolio also includes managing major urban redevelopment projects and serving as the Construction Design Lead for Expo 2020’s Thematic Districts and Al Wasl Plaza Pavilions in the UAE.

Dr. Adel Ezzat

A visionary leader with a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years, Dr. Adel Ezzat currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Elaf Group.

Dr. Ezzat leverages his extensive experience in operations, marketing management, and sustainable organizational growth to steer the group’s strategic direction, which is closely aligned with Vision 2030’s roadmap for economic diversification and the development of the travel and tourism sector.

Prior to joining Elaf Group, Dr. Ezzat served as President & Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. He has also held several senior positions with leading organizations including Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Paper Group, Managing Director of Hyundai & Genesis at Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Hyundai, and Managing Director of the Toyota Business at Abdul Latif Jameel Group. Dr. Ezzat’s remarkable progression throughout his working life demonstrates a strong commitment to professional and personal growth that has enabled him to successfully increase profitability, oversee multiple projects to the highest standards, and lead teams towards exceptional performance.
He holds a PhD in Marketing from Paris University, a master’s degree in Business Administration from Manchester University, and a master’s degree in Marketing from Nottingham Trent University, together with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University.

Olivier Harnisch

Olivier Harnisch is an international Hotelier and founder of Lunasole Hospitality, a consultancy company based in the UAE, and a member of the Board of Directors of several companies in KSA, the UAE and Bahrain. Until the end of 2021, Mr. Harnisch held the position of Head of Hospitality at the Public Investment Fund in Riyadh. He was also the founding CEO of the PIF Hotel Management Company, in which he remains a member of the Board of Directors. Before that, Mr. Harnisch was CEO at Emaar Hospitality in Dubai. He started his hospitality career in 1986 in Nice, France. His path includes 4 years as COO of the Radisson Hotel Group and 14 years at Hilton where he was Managing Director for Northern and Central Europe. Mr. Harnisch holds an MSc in Organizational Behavior from the University of London, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and a Degree in Hospitality Management from the Berlin School of Hotel Administration. Having worked across the globe, Olivier Harnisch is fluent in six languages. He is also a passionate airplane pilot.
