An award-winning and published designer, Sherif is a regular speaker, panelist and chairperson at regional conferences and for design award juries. He has been ranked #68 in the ‘Power 100 most influential people in the GCC’s construction industry.  A founding member of the American Institute of Architects’ Middle East Board of Directors, Sherif is the chapter’s Executive Director and has served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President and is a registered architect in the State of Massachusetts.

Antonino Luca Maria Terrana

Antonino Terrana graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 2012 with a thesis in urban and architectural design. In 2017 he achieved a PhD in Architecture, studying the development of the urban structure in relation to the street as a peculiar urban element, as a public and social space. Since 2012 he is assistant to Prof. Fabrizio Rossi Prodi on his course at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. After the graduation he specialized in sustainable design by designing various buildings with a high profile of energy and environmental efficiency. In 2012 he founded his own studio, specialized in Bioarchitecture, earning some first prizes at international architecture and urban planning competitions, such as the Greenway of 12Km from Palermo to Monreale, A renovation of an old square in Florence and WonderLAD a new NZEB Building. At the same time, he continued his research on urban design at various scales, through participation in urban block projects, neighborhoods and infrastructures. Since November 2018 he has been project manager and design manager of LDA, for which he has gained experience in order management and as a reference person on site, living also in Riyadh and Neom Base Camp.

Mustafa Rasch

Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Mustafa Rasch leads an international team comprised of more than 100 specialists in the field of lightweight and special structures. He succeeded his father Dr. Mahmoud Bodo Rasch, and, as CEO, heads the architectural and engineering office SL-Rasch GmbH.

 

Mustafa Rasch received his degree in architecture at the “Hochschule für Technik” in Stuttgart. A one-year study abroad at the Prince’s Foundation in London complements his education, and he completed his studies with a German Diploma (FH) in 2011. In 2013 he attained a Level-D certificate, “Certified Project Management Associate (GPM)” from the IPMA International Project Management Association.

 

Trained to use all kinds of state-of-the-art technologies, and based on his extensive one-site building and construction experience, he managed the building site of the Abraj Al-Bait/Makkah Clock Tower. He was responsible for the construction supervision of the main structure, including the largest clocks in the world. He coordinated the construction workflow and the operating processes throughout all technical areas, organizing a team of more than 200 workers and technicians.

 

After the successful handing over of the project, he was elevated to the position of CEO for the company and is now a third-generation architect bearing the Rasch last name.

Arne Emerson

Arne Emerson is a Partner at Morphosis with more than 27 years of experience in the field. Since joining Morphosis in 2009, he has played a significant role in the design and development of a broad range of national and international buildings, competitions, and planning projects in the U.S., Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.  Arne served as Project Architect on the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas and is currently serving as Design Partner for two new U.S. Embassies in Beirut, Lebanon and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the new headquarters for ENI in San Donato, Italy, a new arts district at The University of Texas at Dallas, and the new headquarters for lululemon in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Arne is one of four partners leading all aspects of the design direction and management of Morphosis. Prior to joining PIF, Manuel was based in Doha with Katara Hospitality, the State of Qatar’s hotel investment arm. In his function as Director – Asset Management & Investments, he oversaw all aspects of the firm’s Middle Eastern, African and Asian hotel portfolio with a market capitalization of approximately USD 7 billion.

Previously, he has gained additional experience with international consultancies EY and JLL, as well as other international asset management and hospitality operations firms in the US and Europe.

Mohammed Adib

Mohammed Adib is a graduate of the AA School of Architecture and a postgraduate in interior architecture from Barcelona. Mohammed Adib has worked in the UK, Spain, Jordan, North Africa, and Asia over the last 30 years, and for the past 17 years has been based between Barcelona and the Middle East.


During his studies, Iraqi-born Mohammed collaborated with many offices in the UK and Europe. After university he embarked on a “Grand Tour” working for 18 months in architectural offices across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In 1993, Mohammed established Intercon in London as a niche design company specialising in large-scale commercial interior design. Under his design and management
guidance, Intercon has completed over 180 projects in 15 countries and has gradually expanded its services to include architecture, product design, signage and wayfinding.


In 2017 Mohammed, joined Dewan Architects + Engineers as partner and Chief Design officer. His main responsibilities are the protection and development of the design language as well as establishing new markets. He has directed projects in the Middle East, S E Asia, Europe and Africa.

ARJAN PIT

Arjan received his Master of Science in Architecture from the TU Delft in 2006 and joined UNStudio in 2020, bringing with him extensive international experience in complex master planning and architectural projects in Europe, China and the Middle East.

 

He has a broad interest and understanding of cultural diversity proving to be a valuable asset in UNStudio’s global presence and reach. Arjan has led multiple high profile projects ranging from masterplanning and urban strategies to architecture projects including public buildings, industrial complexes and mixed-use high rise through all stages of design and construction. He is specialized in design strategy with a track record in optimization of complex master planning and architectural projects.
